Spilt Milt Production was born out of a love for sport fishing. Tyler Hicks, its producer and editor, is as passionate about helping to connect others with fish as he is about fishing itself. There is nothing more fulfilling than learning to become an accomplished angler on your own.

The old adage goes that a “Jack of all trades, is a master on none.” I could not disagree more. Our planet is 70% water and filled with a diversity of fish. Why squander a lifetime mastering one. I believe the journey of trying to master all of the fisheries in the world would be a life worth living. Bank, kayak, boat, or on the ice I enjoy all forms of fishing for a variety of species and my content reflects that.

I also take a keen interest in the use of modern technologies to help locate and better understand fish. Sonar, imaging, camera systems, and GPS have enabled anglers to become more efficient than ever but developing the skills to understand and use the technologies takes time. Those who fish smarter not harder often come away with more productive days on the water.
